What personal data do we process?

Account information

Data: Email address and password.

Purpose: Create and manage your account so you can log in and use the service.

How it works: You provide your email and password when registering.

Legal basis: Consent.

Your garden's location

Data: Coordinates (latitude/longitude) for your garden.

Purpose: Calculate your personal planting calendar based on local climate and weather conditions.

How it works: You set your garden's location by searching for a place or entering coordinates. The coordinates are used to fetch data from SMHI and MET Norway.

Legal basis: Consent.

Technical logs

Data: IP address, browser type and visited pages.

Purpose: Deliver the service, protect against misuse and ensure stable operation.

How it works: When visiting the site, technical information is logged automatically. Logs are normally retained for 14 days.

Legal basis: Legitimate interest.

Third parties that process data

To calculate your planting calendar and display weather forecasts, data for your coordinates is fetched from SMHI (Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute) and MET Norway (Norwegian Meteorological Institute). These services receive coordinates but no other personal information.

Email is sent via a mail service provided by Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the EU.

Traffic to the site is protected by Cloudflare, which handles DNS and DDoS protection.

Where is your data stored?

All data is stored on servers within the EU/EEA.

How long do we keep your data?

We keep your data as long as you have an active account.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to:

• Request access to the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Request restriction of processing.

If you believe we are processing your personal data incorrectly, you may file a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).
